Hello everyone out there in Blog land

Hi everyone!
I know I have been gone for forever and that has been a concious decision on my part.
I am still reading all of your blogs and updates, but have hit a point where I am not sure if the band is right for me?  I worry alot about the actual surgery and also about upkeep of things like fills, etc.
I am looking at things in my life closely- and analyzing many of the things I read in your blogs; both good and bad, about the band.
I had hit a point in my life where I felt this decision needed to be rushed, but have now hit a point where I feel like I need to take some time to think about whether it is right for me.
So, thats where I am. :)

  1. Thanks for the update. I have not gotten the lapband yet so I can't talk from personal experience. I don't expect the lapband to be easy. In fact, my surgeon said that losing weight with the laband isn't easier, it's just a different kind of hard. Unfortunately for me, I've reached my limit and feel it is the last resort. Good luck to you know matter what you decide.

  2. So true about a different kind of hard! I miss being able to take big ass bites of pizza, burgers and hot dogs. But it has helped me control what I eat and don't eat. Has made me kinda normal...rather than crazy and thinking about food and how much 24/7! Nice to see you are back...only you can make the decision for yourself! Stay strong!

  3. I was extremely nervous for surgery..people ask me now do you have any regrets, and I say YES that I didn't do it sooner! It's not for everyone but I cry realy tears of joy that I have this amazing tool.

  4. I too love my band, its been a wonderful tool.
    http://ursulagoddess.org/fatgirl I'd do it again!
